Nagpahayag ng pagkadismaya sina Senador Alan Peter Cayetano at Risa Hontiveros sa kawalan ng polisiyang binanggit si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., laban sa online gambling sa ika-apat na State of the Nation Address (SONA) nitong Lunes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sa magkahiwalay na pahayag, sinabi nina Cayetano at Hontiveros na nasayang ang opurtudad na makapaghatid ng \u201cmarching order\u201d si Pangulong Marcos laban sa online gambling tulad ng e-sabong,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn no way is it totally comprehensive just because it’s impossible. Kahit mag-two hours ka, hindi mo matatapos lahat ng problema ng bansa,\u201d pahayag ni Cayetano. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c[But] in the same manner na nag-standing ovation sa [banning ng] POGO [noong last SONA], one thing na kung may wishlist ako ay sana nag-announce ng total ban on online gaming today,\u201d aniya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matagal nang isinusulong ni Cayetano ang kabuuang pagbabawal sa lahat ng uri ng sugal mula pa noong 2010 dahil sa masamang epekto nito sa kabataan, mga pamilya, at lipunan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sa kasalukuyang ika-20 Kongreso, co-author siya ng panukalang Ban on Online Gambling Act at principal author ng Anti-Online Gambling Advertisement Act, na layong ipagbawal ang anumang uri ng promosyon sa online gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kasabay nito, sinabi din ni Hontiveros na lubhang nakapanghihinayang na hindi binanggit ng chief executive ang pagbabawal sa online gambling kabilang ang ban sa paggamit ng e-wallets at super apps sa sugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSayang, walang pagbanggit sa online gambling. \u2018Yun din \u2018yung isang hinahinan ko ng resolution recently, containing at least a dozen provisions, kasama na \u2018yung pag-ban ng koneksyon sa gitna ng mga online gambling platforms at mga e-wallets or super apps,\u201d ani Hontiveros sa ambush interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMissed opportunity, sayang, hindi niya binanggit \u2018yun,\u201d aniya. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Naunang naghain si Hontiveros ng isang panukalang batas na nagbabawal sa online gambling access sa e-wallets at super apps. Layunin nito na ipagbawal ang menor de edad na lumahok sa online gambling platforms at ipagbawal din ang advertisement ng online gambling sa lahat ng public spaces, tri-media, at social media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
