Dahil sa gigil nilang itaboy ang mga Pilipino sa sarili nating karagatan, ang mismong mga barko nila \u2014ang Chinese Coast Guard at Chinese Navy\u2014 ang nagkabanggaan,\u201d ayon sa senadora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sinabi pa ni Hontiveros na pinatutunayan nito na pawang \u201creckless\u201d ang pagkilos ng&nbsp; China kaya nalalagay sa panganib ang mismong tauhan ng Beijing kaya\u2019t dapat nitong sipatin ang insidente bilang aral sa kanilang illegal na panghihimasok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kasabay nito, nagpugay naman si&nbsp; Hontiveros sa Philippine Coast Guard sa pagpapatupad ng Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS). \u201cKahit binubully na ng Tsina ay nag-alok pa rin ng tulong sa aksidente ng mga Chinese ships. That embodies the true Filipino spirit of honor and integrity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI also continue to call on our government to support our fisher folk to the fullest extent possible, and to allow them continued access to their traditional fishing areas in the Bajo de Masinloc. It is also crucial that we maintain a year-round maritime law enforcement presence to safeguard our fisher folk,\u201d aniya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cKahit ano pang panghaharass ng China, hinding-hindi nila maiaalis ang katotohanan na atin ang West Philippine Sea,\u201d giit pa ng senadora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kaugnay nito, kinondena din nina Senador Jinggoy Estrada at Joel Villanueva ang insidente sa pagsasabing hindi naduduwag ang Pilipinas sa anumang illegal na pagkilos ng China sa loob mismo ng ating karagatan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>\u201cThese tactics not only endanger our maritime personnel and fisherfolk\u2014they also escalate tensions unnecessarily. The West Philippine Sea is ours.
