Isa sa mga pangunahing panukala ni Cayetano para sa 20th Congress ang LabCom Act of 2025 (Senate Bill No. 104). Layunin nitong bumuo ng komisyon na magdidisenyo ng wage policies batay sa partikular na industriya at rehiyon para maiwasan ang malalaking wage hike bills na madalas maipit sa Kongreso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sa panukala, tinutukoy ang living wage bilang ganito: \u201cthe amount of family income needed to provide for the family\u2019s food and non-food expenditures with sufficient allowance for savings or investments for social security so as to enable the family to live and maintain a decent standard of human existence beyond mere subsistence level, taking into account all of the family\u2019s physiological, social and other needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cY\u2019un nga ang problema sa legislative wage hike. Hindi magkaroon ng consensus. The LabCom will not talk in generalities. It will come out industry specific,\u201d dagdag pa ni Cayetano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kasama sa bubuuing komisyon ang mga kinatawan mula sa Kongreso, Senado, at mga pangunahing ahensya tulad ng NEDA, DTI, DOLE, at DMW. Kalahok din dito ang sektor ng negosyo, MSMEs, at mga manggagawa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ayon kay Cayetano, makakatulong ang istrukturang ito para magkaroon ng patas at pangmatagalang wage standards sa iba\u2019t ibang industriya at rehiyon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
