Naghain ng isang panukalang batas si Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel \u201cMigz\u201d Zubiri upang ipagpaliban ang 2025 Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary elections sa March 30, 2026, dahil nakabitin ang schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sa panukala, sinabi ni Zubiri na layunin ng Senate Bill No. 1587 na amendahan ang Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) upang i-reset  ang BARMM elections, na magsisimula ang bagong termino sa Abril 30 pagkatapos ng halalan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Layunin din ng panukala na isabay ang susunod na halalan sa BARMM sa  2028 national elections at tuwing ikatlong taon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt has been more than six years since the BARMM was established, and the Bangsamoro people have yet to exercise their power to elect their own leaders. The core principles of BOL is self-governance and self-determination, and these cannot be achieved without the people\u2019s right to vote,\u201d ayon kay Zubiri sa statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKaya we are filing this bill to push for the BARMM\u2019s parliamentary elections this March. Para may mandato ng batas ang kauna-unahang eleksyon sa rehiyon,\u201d dagdag niya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inaatasan ng panukala ang Commission on Elections (Comelec), sa pamamagitan ng Bangsamoro Electoral Office, na magpalabas at ipatupad ang rules para sa halalan alinsunod sa pambansang batas, BOL at Bangsamoro Electoral Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ipinunto ni Zubiri na tumutupad ang panukala sa ruling ng Supreme Court na ihiwalay ang Sulu sa BARMM at desisyon na nagbabasura sa 2025 redistricting law ng Bangsamoro Parliament at inaatasan na magkaroon ng bago at angkop na apportionment bago simulan ang halalan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nakatakda din sa panukala na nanatiling interim government ang   Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) sa panahon ng pagpapalawig ng transition period maliban na lamang kung papaplitan ng Pangulo o mahalal ang mga miyembro sa ibang posisyon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magsisilbi sila hanggang mahalal ang successor na pawang kuwalipikado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe schedule for BARMM\u2019s parliamentary elections remains in limbo after the passage of a new districting law reallocating the seven seats initially assigned to Sulu,\u201d ayon pa sa panukala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Inaprubahan ng Bangsamoro Parliament sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa ang   Parliament Bill 415 matapos maantala ng isang buwan.  Sa ilalim ng bagong batas, nagkaroon ng alokasyon sa   parliamentary seats sa mga sumusunod: siyem para sa Lanao del Sur; tig-iisa sa Maguindanao del Norte at Maguindanao del Sur; tig-aapat sa Basilan at Tawi-Tawi; tatlo sa Cotabato City; at dalawa sa Special Geographic Area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
