Dahil sa bigat ng kanyang trabaho, binitawan ni Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson nitong Lunes ang pagiging tagapangulo ng Senate Committee on Electoral Reforms and People’s Participation para ibigay kay Sen. Ana Theresia “Risa” Hontiveros.

Ayon kay Lacson, tinalakay niya ang usaping ito sa caucus ng majority bloc nitong tanghali, at pumayag naman si Hontiveros na pumalit bilang tagapangulo ng komite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Puno ako sa Blue Ribbon and Accounts, Senate President Pro Tempore pa ako. Amenable naman si Sen. Hontiveros to chair,” aniya.

Bukod sa pagiging Senate President Pro Tempore, si Lacson din ang namumuno sa Senate Blue Ribbon Committee\u2014na kasalukuyang nag-iimbestiga sa katiwalian sa likod ng mga maanomalyang flood control projects\u2014pati na rin sa Committee on Accounts.

Sa sesyon ng Senado, pormal na ipinaalam ni Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri na nagpahayag si Lacson ng intensyong bitawan ang pamumuno sa naturang komite, at naghain ng mosyon para ihalal si Hontiveros bilang bagong tagapangulo nito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
