Inaprubahan ng Senado na ilipat ang tungkulin  ni Senador Ronald \u201cBato\u201d Dela Rosa sa nilikhang subcommittee upang dinggin ang panukalang batas na nagbabawal sa public officials kabilang ang kaanak nito na sumawsaw sa government project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nitong Martes, inaprubahan ng plenaryo na ipasa kay Senador Francis \u201cChiz\u201d Escudero ang tungkulin ni Dela Rosa na nagbabawal sa public officials na pumaloob sa anumang kontrata sa gobyerno dahil palaging absent ang dating hepe ng pulisya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nilikha ng Senado ang isang subcommittee sa ilalim ng Committee on Civil Service, Government Reorganization and Professional Regulation na pinamumunuan ni Dela Rosa.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sinabi ni Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri na hiniling ni Dela Rosa sa plenaryo na italaga si Escudeo sa komite bilang chairman ng parent committee. Kaya ibinigay sa komite na pinamumunuan ni Escudero ang Senate Bill No. 783 na magsisilbing pamantayan sa pagtataguyod ng transparency at accountability sa public procurement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matagal nang isinusulong ni Escudero, principal na awtor ng SB 783, ang reporma na ipagbawal sa sinumang public officials at kaanak nito  hanggang ika-apat na relasyon sa paglahok sa anumang kontrata sa pamahalaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bukod kay Escudero, co-author ng panukala sina Senador Bong Go at Joel Villanueva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sa paghahain ng panukala noong Agosto 4, 2025, iginiit ni Escudero na palalakasin ng pagbabawal sa public officials na sumawsaw sa government projects ang procurement safeguards at punan ang pagkukulang ng pamahalaan na maimpluwensiyahan ang pampublikong transaksiyon. \u201cSuch\u00a0reforms are vital to restoring public trust and ensuring that government resources are allocated fairly and transparently.\u00a0\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis subcommittee will ensure that integrity in public service is not only discussed but institutionalized,\u201d ayon kay Escudero.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
